Recycling Starting January 1st 2013 Lyon County residential recycling will be done weekly.
Simply place all your recyclable items loosely together (Please do not bag these items) in your designated recycling cart.
The following items are non-acceptable curb-side recyclable materials: Pizza boxes and egg cartons

Household hazardous waste

Minnesota State law prohibits putting yard waste into your garbage.
Be sure to review the complete recycling basics list so you know what you can and cannot put in the recycling container.
Recycling pickup days
Monday: Marshall (same day as normal trash pickup) Tuesday: Marshall (same day as normal trash pickup), Balaton, Florence Wednesday: Tracy, Garvin, Lake Marshall, Amiret, Ghent, Minneota, Taunton Thursday: Marshall (same day as normal trash pickup), Green Valley, Cottonwood, Lynd, Russell
Proper Cart Placement Have your cart(s) at the curb the night before your scheduled pick-up day.

Face the lid opening toward the street - handle toward the house.

Leave 3 feet between each cart or place the cart(s) on each side of your driveway.

During winter months, please keep your cart(s) clean of snow or other obstructions and place them at the end of the driveway or boulevard so snow trucks won't run into them.
